Engaged!

So that one moment we all dream about took place for Amanda and I last night. After weeks of planning, looking at rings, buying the ring, and keeping my plans a secret, I asked Amanda Cook to marry me. Best of all, she said Yes! Today I feel a peace and joy that is unexplainable unless you have experienced this moment. I am so excited to see where God takes the both of us over the next year and as we start our life together. Just so everyone knows Amanda and I both will be deleting Facebook and Myspace pages just so we can focus on planning and growing together. However, we have created a blog that way everyone can keep up with what we are doing so before the deleting takes place we will post some links to that. I just want to thank all fo you who have loved on us and supported us over these past nine months and really year as we met and started dating. We feel that God's hand has been all over our relationship from day one and we are so excited to show everyone what that looks like. Our ultimate goal is to live a life together that reflects not only the true love we have for each other but the true love that God has for us and for everyone else in the world.

Another Week

I think the past few weeks have been some of the most incredible weeks of my life. I have learned so much more about myself and what God has for me than I can ever remember happening in my life. My prayer has been that with each day God continues to mold me into the person I am supposed to be to further the Kingdom. That is a pretty big prayer, maybe even a dangerous prayer. You have to be willing to be stretched, pried, and put back together. Of course when you pray that prayer you believe you are ready but for me I think I prayed that prayer because I knew I wasn't prepared for the consequence or reaction. Its like when you pray for patience and then God always does something that tests your patience to the core rather than give you patience. Don't ever pray for patience by the way... :) Okay, so this prayer has been amazing though. I have been blessed with so me amazing best friends to walk life with and figure out what being an empty vessel for God to use truly means. And I feel like He is showing all of us that. He is showing me that for sure along with many other new things :) There are just so many exciting things taking place in my life right now it is seriously unreal. I look forward to sharing more with all of you in the coming days.

Testing Out the New Page

Ok so I am attempting to create a blog spot again....we will see if I actually keep up with this one. I plan on just kind of taking things from my journal and posting them in here. We shall see how it works out.
